Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are great for controlling surges in high-power buses. This is a Panasonic capacitor with part number: EEU-FM1A102L. You can view the datasheet here. These are Panasonic FM Series capacitors, which is their best series in terms of impedance and maximum ripple current. FM Series capacitors can handle 2-3 times the ripple current as a similar-size general purpose electrolytic capacitor. Their very low impedance values means they can absorb and release large amounts of energy very quickly.
When sourcing this part, we were thinking about stabilizing receiver voltage (why we chose a 10V part instead of a bigger, more expensive cap with a higher voltage rating). A 1,000uF capacitor can store a lot of charge and will almost act like a very small quick-acting battery. Generally, motor speed controls handling up to 20A and radio receivers will have filtering caps around a couple hundred microfarads, so this capacitor has about 5 times the storage capacity. This should fix pretty much any power supply issues you might be having with a circuit handling dozens of amps (but there are many variables to consider). If you think your power bus needs some help, the first thing to check is the value of the capacitors you already have, then go from there. Be sure to watch the maximum voltage rating (10V).
