This is a simple pushbutton switch that makes contact when pressed down. It is threaded and comes with a nut for panel mounting. The outside of the threads measures slightly over 1/4", so a slightly larger bit may be necessary for harder materials (but it will probably fit snuggly in a 1/4" hole in plastic or wood).
